As much as we all LOVE our Disney at Agents of Excellence, posting our love for the Mouse House on Social Media is best when there’s a solid balance of real life, real estate and magic!
That being said, here are 12+ amazing ideas that you can incorporate into your static posts, carousels, long/short form video, events, Reels & Shorts on Social Media at least 1-2 times a month!
1) THIS vs THAT? (2.7k Views on YouTube/2.5k Views on Instagram)
Your customers WANT to be heard, give them opportunities to voice their opinions and what they like! BONUS: you can follow up with them and make sure you add that “new kitchen upgrade” they’ve been wanting to their criteria when you find their future home. Here’s a video encouraging engagement asking if consumers prefer upgraded features or a pool.
2) POV (2,546 Views on Instagram/Reels)
People LOVE the POV posts, it’s a daily glimpse into your glamorous life as a Real Estate Agent! Whether you’re showing off an extraordinary feature of a Listing or just your “work view” of Cinderella’s Castle from the Polynesian Pool, consumers want to feel like they are with you in that moment!!
3) HOLIDAYS
Is May 4th a holiday? You’d better BELIEVE It is for all your Star Wars loving customers! Here’s an idea of how I took a charity fundraiser post and turned it into a “May the Fourth Be With You” post. Be creative with different holidays!
4) DISNEY/HIDDEN MICKEY’S DURING SHOWINGS
Showing a property with an old school Disney VHS display or an adorable Minnie Mouse kitchen set on the counter? Show. It. Off! I chose to highlight a very well done “Monster’s Inc” bathroom with a video, consumers love seeing the inside of homes, make it fun and HGTV-ish!
NOTE: if your Buyer is making an offer on the property, be sure to wait and post AFTER the offer is accepted so you don’t lure other potential Buyers for competition!
5) CAST COMPLIMENTS (3.3k Views on YouTube)
If you’ve had a great experience with a Cast Member, tell them! Document with a photo or video if they will let you. Please check out this ASL interaction I had with Zephyr at Grand Floridian (grab tissues!!)
6) GO EXTREME! (Like Skydiving! 5.5k Views on Facebook / 3,325 Views on Instagram)
No, really, do something BIG! Do something out of your comfort zone, document and SHARE! Be vulnerable about the experience, consumers want to see the real you! We recently made the “jump” to ΓEA⅃ Broker and shared our announcement with the world with a skydiving video!
7-8) QUOTES (these are so good, it’s multiple ideas!)
Show off your profound and witty side with a quote from Walt Disney or Chef Gusteau. Maybe something adventurous or curious from Peter Pan or Alice in Wonderland. Couple it with a static photo of you at a Listing or even at Disney, relate it back to your real estate business.
Walt Disney Quote (Gratitude Post: thank your customers, your team, your tribe, your community for thanking you and supporting you in your business)
Snow White Quote (Vulnerable Post: you are human, it’s ok to be vulnerable! You can talk about the market, changes in the biz, your value as an agent and what you do for your people that is above and beyond)
Peter Pan Quote (Motivational Post: maybe you’re home from a conference/AOE meetup, learned something great on a zoom, etc - show it off with a post and shout from the rooftop how you are becoming a better agent daily for your customers!)
Chef Gusteau Quote (Future/Looking Forward Post: apply this to anything in your biz, community or life - everyone needs a little positivity and to KEEP MOVING FORWARD!)
9) FOOD
Speaking of Chef Gusteau, I’m hungry! Recreate a FUN recipe from a Disney movie, something from a favorite Resort or just something magical-ish! Bonus if you do a Reel making from scratch, consumers love this kind of content as they are fun to watch, make and see your personality. We chose to recreate “ratatouille” (and it was yummy)!
10) AGENT COLLABORATION
Share about your experiences at AOE, conferences and classes! It shows you can work hard AND have fun! You can share tidbits of goodness you learned, remind your sphere that you have agent connections EVERYWHERE and can send referrals and let’s be honest - business ALWAYS picks up when you’re on vacation - use that as content!
11) VACATION
It’s ok for agents to go on vacay every once in a while, as mentioned, that’s when contracts come in - right? This example sums it up, last time at EPCOT 2 solid referrals came in so I had to stop, talk, and make magical deals happen!
12) HAVE FUN! (5,204 Views on TikTok)
Show your fun and creative side with something fun and magical that isn’t related to real estate at all! For instance, one day my bestie and I collected ALL 4 colors of the Balloon Popcorn Buckets and it was a HUGE hit on multiple platforms. Go on your own popcorn bucket scavenger hunt, document and post!
